Information, Blogs and Quizes.

This website is a really interesting resource. It contains information on all the six major world religions as well as many others including Taoism and Secular Philosophies. There are links to blogs from all different faith perspectives and for a bit of fun take one of their quizes to find out your faith and spirituality type! Although the site is based in the USA there is lots of relevent information that can be applied to the UK. The site also explores movies, news stories and relates real life happenings to religious teachings.

Speakers included the charity LIFE, a representative from Myton Hospice, Animal Aid, Anthony Nolan Trust and Coventry Youth for Christ. Topics discussed included vivisection, euthanasia, genetic engineering and the hospice movement. Here are some comments from students and photos from the day:

'It was a good opportunity to think'

'Thought provoking'
'Very informative'

'It made you think and question your own morals'
'I will consider stem cell donation now'

'I didn't realise hospices were funded by charity'

Many thanks to all the speakers, Miss Madden, Mrs Weaver and Year 12 IB students for making this day possible.
